North and South (BBC 2004)- not the 1985 miniseries on the Civil War. Brilliant. Lovely. Thornton is smoking hot. Based on the Elizabeth Gaskell novel.
Vanity Fair (2004)- pretty but not brilliant. Enjoyable to watch. Have been advised to watch the 1998 BBC miniseries adaptation but have yet to get a hold of it.
